The Bhutan Nepal Foundation (BNF) is a nonprofit organization with its head office based in Nepal. The objective of the Foundation is to preserve and promote the historical and cultural relationship between Bhutan and Nepal, and to preserve the history, experiences, and legacy of Bhutanese refugees in Nepal.
Our work is guided by five interconnected pillars that support an amicable solution to over three decades old Bhutanese refugee issue.
Awareness campaign and publication are the keys to bring Bhutan and Nepal together to reach towards an amicable resolution of this protracted refugee problem. Meticulous records keeping, publication and organizing open conversations on opportunities and constraints are the main ingredients of National Reconciliation in Bhutan and promotion of people-to-people relationship. Towards that end Bhutan Nepal Foundation would undertake research publication, organize open visual discourses, and promote cultural activities between the peoples of Bhutan and Nepal.
